turning fifty years
how you gathered wisdom-
you saw abraham!
****
This haiku is dedicated to Kristjaan Panneman, fellow haiku poet who gathers us together every day , at Carpe Diem, to write haiku. Today is his 50th birthday. The prompt today is ‘Abraham,’ a reference to a Dutch saying ‘you saw Abraham’ which is said to men when they reach fifty. According to Kris, who is Dutch, it refers to having attained wisdom and respect. Happy Birthday Kris, and may you have many more!
For Carpe Diem ‘Abraham’
I wish I had the perfect words to describe how lovely your words flow…always.

Very warm. I saw Abraham’s wife quite a while back. She looked pretty good for her age.;-)
