    1. And in simpler times, before food was frozen and shipped long distances, the first greens,although bitter, were a welcome addition to the table. Herbalists and wise women knew that these greens purified and nourished after a winter of roots and hunger! So add some dandelion greens to your salad and celebrate the place of bitter herbs in our collective history!
